A communications strategist with emphasis on nonprofit marketing and digital strategy

I attended UW-Madison and dived into the communications strategy, digital marketing, and nonprofit worlds. Since graduating from UW-Madison, I moved to Seattle, where I where I spent my time writing on a rooftop with a view of Mount Rainier and getting involved in Washington state politics. I also gained copywriting skills while working with a company specializing in SEO tactics.

After spending time in the misty Pacific Northwest, I returned to the Midwest. In Chicago, I lived in the Uptown neighborhood while managing communications at a  nonprofit that supports individuals with disabilities to live full lives.

These days I live in Washington DC, where I wrapped up my communications agency, Sunrise Communication Strategy, and have joined the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Over the past year, I've developed several websites for large nonprofits and advocacy organizations, worked on email acquisition campaigns, created and placed advertising campaigns, and led a team of client managers.

Please reach out if you're in need of communications strategy for your organization, support on short-term projects, or for collaboration in writing or photography. For my marketing portfolio and work examples, please continue exploring this site or visit my personal LinkedIn.
